Allan joins the firm with more than twenty years of insurance defense and other legal experience. Allan has been a member of the Maryland Senate since 2004. He was Minority Whip from 2007-2008 and has recently been selected as Minority Leader.

A member of the Maryland Bar since 1980, Commissioner LaFata was on the Workers’ Compensation Commission for over thirteen years. He is an Adjunct Professor of Law at the University Of Baltimore School Of Law where he teaches Workers’ Compensation Law and Trial Advocacy.
